Sample Menu for your 12month  bub:

How much?

  • Aim for 3 meals per day with each meal approximately 1-1/2 cups/meal

Sample Daily intake:

Breakfast:

  • Rice cereal made with milk, toast with fruit spread, butter, avocado
  • Breast feed or milk drink

Morning tea:

  • Raisin toast or toast with butter/spread
  • Fruit
  • Milk drink

Lunch:

  • 1 x protein, 1 x carbohydrate, 1 x vegetables e.g. Meat/chicken/fish/egg/legumes, bread or rice or pasta,  vegetables (raw or cooked)

Afternoon tea:

  • Full fat yoghurt, pikelet or fruit bread
  • Fruit
  • Milk drink

Dinner:

  • 1 x protein, 1 x carbohydrate, 1 x vegetables e.g. Meat/chicken/fish/egg/legumes, bread or rice or pasta,  vegetables (raw or cooked)
  • Custard or yoghurt
